minaniwa still21/ still26 End of June delivery Glass plate

A vessel for appreciating time - minaniwa -

*This is an order item scheduled to ship from the end of June to the beginning of July.

The design is named after "quiet water surface." It is designed to create a water garden on the table just by arranging the pieces, and is made to be close to the horizon with few bumps and grooves, creating a beautiful shape. This piece allows you to experience the water scenery that is most characteristic of minaniwa. This design is recommended for those who are looking for a piece that cannot be found anywhere else, and for those who cherish time spent with beautiful things.

still21/ Diameter 21cm (approximately ±1cm) Height 15-30mm

still26/ diameter 26cm (approximately ±1cm) height 15-30mm

・Specially designed lip line. 1mm rise

By raising the edges very slightly, the dish feels stable while also evoking the image of a beautiful water surface.

・Light base. A solid glass base is provided to let in light and make it easy to hold. Still is thick and heavy, but the base makes it easy to hold and serve despite its weight, making it a practical item. In addition, by filling this height with glass, it creates a shape that appears to float on the water.

- The shadows on the water surface itself. Beautiful handiwork.

The design is a pursuit of beauty, so that the shadows on the water's surface can be felt most beautifully. Creating a perfectly horizontal plate in the glassblowing method is a high level of difficulty, and on top of that, handling the complex, asymmetrical mold is a beautiful handiwork that only a limited number of craftsmen in Japan can achieve.

We recreate the universal aesthetic sense of respecting and loving water in gardens, which has existed in Japan since ancient times, into modern life and propose beauty that has never been seen before.

"Latest technology: 3D modeling of water" + "Glass manufacturing method that has been around since the prehistoric era"

A unique formula was developed to create a water pattern when the glass is blown into the air, a first for Japan. Based on the formula, a prototype was made with a 3D printer, and a 3D glass-blowing mold was then hand-made. Using this mold, glass was blown into the air with advanced techniques, resulting in a plate with realistic water ripples.

Although we use the latest technology to blow glass, each plate is unique. The beauty of handcraft is that no two pieces are exactly alike, and the superior transparency that only blown glass can provide is something that cannot be found in mass-produced glass. This work was created through the collaboration of a producer, designer, and craftsman.

Each and every minaniwa piece is handcrafted by a craftsman, so there may be slight differences between individual pieces.

In order to maintain the perfection of the work and reduce individual differences, we limit orders to one per year. If you would like to purchase additional pieces, please note that it will most likely be next year.

There are no major individual differences that would interfere with use, but if you are ordering in bulk, such as a set of two, please purchase a set of two. If you would like to purchase similar items individually, please write "I would like a set" in the comments section when purchasing.

Currently, only one craftsman is working on the production. Also, depending on the glass material and production status, the delivery date may be delayed.
